The Hugo Spritz, with its delicate blend of prosecco and elderflower liqueur, captures the essence of relaxation in every sip. I discovered this refreshing cocktail during my travels and was immediately enchanted. It’s perfect for those cozy evenings when you want something light yet satisfying. So grab your favorite wine glass and let’s dive into making this delightful aperitif that will brighten any occasion!

What is Hugo Spritz Cocktail Recipe?

The Hugo Spritz is a delightful cocktail that gives a fresh twist to the classic Aperol Spritz. Instead of using a bitter liqueur, this drink features elderflower liqueur, which brings a gentle floral sweetness to the mix. It combines prosecco, soda water, and fresh mint for a light and refreshing flavor, making it perfect as an aperitivo before a meal. What makes the Hugo Spritz special is its unique flavor profile that highlights the natural citrus notes of the prosecco while the elderflower adds a lovely touch of mystery. Plus, it’s super easy to whip up—just muddle some mint, add the liqueur, prosecco, and soda, and you’re ready to enjoy a little taste of Italy!

Hugo Spritz Cocktail Recipe

Kitchen Equipment Needed

  • Wine glass
  • Muddler
  • Ice
  • Measuring jigger or shot glass
  • Stirring stick
  • Knife (for slicing lime)
  • Cutting board
  • Garnish (mint sprig and lime slice)

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces Prosecco (dry, brut recommended)
  • 1/2 ounce St. Germain elderflower liqueur (or St. Elder as a substitute)
  • 1 ounce club soda (any unflavored sparkling water)
  • 1-2 fresh mint leaves
  • Lime, lemon or orange slice (optional for garnish)
  • You can use ginger ale instead of club soda for a fun twist!
Ingredients

How to Make Hugo Spritz Cocktail Recipe?

Step 1:

Add 1/2 ounce of St. Germain elderflower liqueur and 1-2 mint sprigs into a wine glass.

Step 2:

Gently muddle the mint and let it sit for 2 minutes.

Step 3:

Add ice to the wine glass.

Step 4:

Pour in 4 ounces of Prosecco.

Step 5:

Add 1 ounce of soda water.

Step 6:

Stir gently to combine.

Step 7:

Garnish with a mint sprig and a slice of lime, if desired.

Step 8:

Serve immediately and Enjoy your refreshing Hugo Spritz!

Some Tips!

  • Make sure to gently muddle the mint leaves to release their oils; it really enhances the flavor of your drink!
  • Chill your club soda beforehand for an extra refreshing spritz.
  • Feel free to experiment with the elderflower liqueur; I love St. Germain, but there are other brands that work beautifully too!

How to Store Leftovers?

To make sure nothing goes to waste, I recommend storing any leftover Hugo Spritz components separately. Keep the prosecco and elderflower liqueur in the fridge, but avoid mixing them if you plan to save them. I like to use a sealed container for any leftover mint to keep it fresh. Just remember to mix everything fresh when you’re ready for your next drink!

What to Eat with Hugo Spritz Cocktail Recipe?

If you’re sipping on a delightful Hugo Spritz, you’ll want to enhance that refreshing vibe with some tasty bites! A homemade Pea hummus mezze board or marinated feta will perfectly complement the flavors of this light and bubbly cocktail. Think creamy, salty goodness that will have everyone coming back for more!

Conclusion

The delightful Hugo Spritz is an excellent canvas for you to explore your favorite flavors and ingredients. With its refreshing combination of elderflower liqueur and crisp Prosecco, there’s so much room for creativity, whether you choose to garnish it with fresh mint or add a splash of something unexpected. • Put vodka, Tuaca, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes in a shaker, Also I added heavy cream to make it more creamy and smooth. Close the top tightly and shake it for 15 seconds to mix and make it cold.
  • Pour the drink into your glass slowly, keeping the sugar rim neat. Enjoy.

  • If you like your drink sweeter, use more sugar on the rim. If not, just use it a little bit to taste.
  • If the lemon is too sour, adding a little more simple syrup will make it sweeter and balance the flavors nicely.
  • Try to add a little heavy cream like I did, It will make the drink thicker and smoother, giving it a nice, rich flavor.
  • You can use a regular jar with a tight lid to shake and mix the drink if you don’t have a cocktail shaker handy.
  • If you don’t want to use Tuaca and want a similar flavor, you can use any vanilla-flavored liqueur to give the drink a similar sweet and smooth flavor.

The Shipwreck Drink has a beautiful flavor with a nice fizz. It’s easy to make at home and a great option to add to your list of tropical homemade drinks.

My husband adores these kinds of drinks, especially the fruity ones with a tropical touch. This drink reminds me of the Caribou Lou drink, but I made the Shipwreck Drink fizzy by adding lemon-lime soda. It’s not a necessary ingredient, but I love the flavor it adds to the drink.

The Shipwreck Drink ends up with a nice light yellow color because of the pineapple juice.

You can also customize some ingredients as you like, such as the simple syrup, some people add it, and some don’t, so it’s totally optional.

Yesterday, I shared my Watermelon Moonshine recipe and said that I made it just to create other cocktails and shots, like this Watermelon Shot. So, I used it as one of the main ingredients, along with lime juice, simple syrup, and, of course, some cubes of watermelon.

This is one of the fastest shot drinks I’ve made, and just so you know, it’s been a long time since I last made a shot recipe. I still remember that some take more effort and some don’t, but most of the time, shot recipes are easy, fun, and can be ready in just a few minutes, like this Watermelon Shot.

So if you love fruity shots and enjoy the taste of watermelon, you absolutely need to make this Watermelon Shot at home.

What is a Watermelon Shot?

A Watermelon Shot is a drink you can make easily with fresh watermelon, watermelon moonshine, lime juice, and simple syrup. This beautiful pinkish-red shot is full of the sweet and juicy flavor of watermelon, with the tangy flavor of lime and a touch of sweetness from the syrup. It’s for sure a delicious fruity shot that’s perfect for summer, plus making it so simple and not requiring too many ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of fresh watermelon, cubed
  • 1/4 cup of watermelon moonshine
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Kitchen Equipment Needed

  • Blender
  • Fine-mesh sieve (optional, for smoother texture)
  • Shaker or small pitcher

  • Shot glasses

How to Make Watermelon Shot?

Step 1:

Cut the watermelon into small squares. You need about one cup of these little squares.

Put the watermelon squares into your blender and blend until it’s smooth like juice. If you want it super smooth, you can pour it through a strainer to catch any bits.

Step 3:

Now, pour the watermelon juice, moonshine, lime juice, and a little bit of sweet syrup into a shaker. shake it up so everything is mixed together.

Step 4:

Add some ice cubes to the mix and shake again until it’s nice, and cold and mixed well.

Step 5:

Pour the watermelon drink into small glasses. If you want, you can add a small piece of mint leaf on top to make it look nice. Enjoy.

Some Tips!

  • Put the watermelon in the fridge before cutting it so it’s already cold and makes the drink more refreshing.
  • Remember to Taste the mix before you pour it to see if it needs more lime juice or sweet syrup.
  • If you want it tangy, add a little more lime juice. or more syrup if you desire it to be more sweet.

How to Store Leftovers?

If you have any leftover Watermelon Shot mix, put it in a container with a lid and keep it in the fridge. Drink it in 2-3 days, but it tastes best when it’s fresh.

What to Eat with Watermelon Shots?

You can pair your watermelon shot with many different meals, but I always prefer to enjoy my shots with desserts. I loved the taste of this shot with Chicken Salad Chick Cookies—the sweet, buttery cookies with that irresistible frosting on top perfectly balance the refreshing watermelon flavor. You could also serve it with a slice of Persimmon Banana Bread for more fruity flavors, Other great options include chocolate brownies, lemon poppy seed muffins, or even spicy jalapeño poppers for some spiciness. This summer, I was really lazy about making drinks, even though it’s the perfect time to whip them up and share them on my blog.

Instead, I focused on desserts and ice creams, especially banana breads. But yesterday, my husband asked for a blackberry-based drink. I knew I could make classics like Outback Blackberry Sangria, but I wanted something new, easy, and quick that didn’t need too many ingredients or much time.

I found this Blackberry Margarita Smash recipe easy and delicious to make and share. The taste was amazing, and I even made it a bit lighter by using just a small amount of blackberries. I wanted to achieve that beautiful light red color in the drink, which was perfect.

Usually, people serve this Blackberry Margarita Smash with a fancy rim and garnish, but I prefer it in a simple, regular rocks glass without any extras. Of course, you can get creative and serve it however you like!

What is Blackberry Margarita Smash?

The Blackberry Margarita Smash is a simple drink with blackberry flavors, made with muddled blackberries mixed with tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup, and then served in a rimmed glass. Usually, the drink has a deep purple color, but for my recipe, I used fewer blackberries, resulting in a light red drink that I really like. The drink is delicious, refreshing, and easy to make at home, plus it looks fancy with that rimmed glass.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill the glass)

Step 2:

Now, Add 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of triple sec, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz of agave syrup into the shaker with the squished blackberries. shake gently for about 20 seconds.

Step 3:

Pour the drink into your serving glass. I used lots of ice to give my drink a pretty light red color, but this is not necessary, you can use less if you want. Enjoy.

Some Tips!

  • You can Try using a mix of blackberries and raspberries for a mix of flavors and a different shade of light red.
  • If you want a non-alcoholic version, just replace the tequila and triple sec with sparkling water or even lemon-lime soda.
  • Don’t forget to Pour the drink slowly over the ice cubes in the glass to create a beautiful layered effect.
  • Usually, this drink is served in a rimmed glass. If you want to do that too, dip the rim of the glass in lime juice and then in sugar before pouring the drink.
