Golden brown on the outside with a slightly crunchy outer layer and super moist on the inside, this is the type of pound cake you expect to find at fancy coffee houses.

Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake

This is also a dense cake with a tight crumb so it’s the perfect sweet treat to serve with a cup of coffee or tea. It also lasts fresh for a couple of days more than a normal cake, meaning you can bake it and then keep it refrigerated for a couple of days to have ready-to-go snacks or desserts (well if you can keep yourself from eating the whole cake).

And then there’s the fact that it looks so good! Just look at those raspberry swirls that dance with the lemon batter. It’s one of those cakes, that when sliced it’s a complete showstopper.

Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 250 grams yogurt
  • 112 grams of vegetable oil
  • 10 ml lemon extract
  • 180 grams flour
  • 15 grams of baking powder
  • 100 grams raspberry jam

How to make the Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake

The part I love the most about this cake is the raspberry streaks! Making them is super easy. Just mix in some jam with the cake batter and then marble it before baking.

What I love about this step is that you can then play with the flavor combinations. Make this cake again using grape jam, peach jam, or even pineapple jam. Whatever fruity flavor you are craving works great.

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2:

In a bowl beat eggs, sugar, and yogurt together for around 3 minutes. Slowly, pour in the oil and beat for 2 minutes.

Step 3:

Incorporate the lemon extract, flour, and baking powder and beat on high speed for 3 minutes.

Step 4:

Divide the batter in two. Add the raspberry jam to one half and incorporate it.

Step 5:

Pour ⅓ of the lemon batter into the prepared cake pan. Top with ½ the raspberry batter and repeat the process alternating between lemon and raspberry and finishing with the lemon.

Step 6:

Take to the oven and bake for 60 minutes or until done.

Step 7:

Let it cool down completely before removing it from the pan.

Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake

Some Tips

  • Ensure your eggs, yogurt, and oil are at room temperature before starting. This helps achieve a smoother batter
  • hen layering the lemon and raspberry batters in the pan, aim for even distribution.
  • Allow the loaf to cool completely in the pan before removing it.
  • After adding all the ingredients, finish the batter by beating everything on high speed (or with strength) for 3 minutes. This is what adds extra air to the batter which results in a lighter, not heavy, loaf cake.
  • Use room temperature ingredients: They mix in better, and it’s also easier to incorporate them so your cake texture will be more even better, in half the time!

How to Store this Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake?

Put any extra cake in a sealed container. You can keep it on the counter for up to 3 days. Or, store it in the fridge to keep it fresh longer. Just let it come to room temperature before eating for the best taste and texture.

Perfect pairing with this cake

This is delicious and served as is! Trust me when I say it’s one of the best cakes you’ll ever have.

However, there are a couple of fun ways you can serve it too:

  • Toast a slice until slightly golden brown and serve it with butter and jam. Just like you would do with a piece of bread!
  • Grill it and serve it with fresh fruit and ice cream. It’s a delicious summer dessert and a total crowd favorite.
  • Use it to make some fun dessert shooters. Layer pieces of pound cake with heavy cream and fruits or more jam. They make an impressive dessert perfect for parties or get-togethers.
Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake

FAQ

Can I use fresh raspberries instead of raspberry jam?

Yes, you can use fresh raspberries, but they may change the texture. Try crushing them slightly before adding them to the batter.

Can I freeze this cake?

Wrap slices tightly in plastic wrap and foil, or store the whole loaf in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months.

Can I reduce the sugar in this recipe?

You can, but it may affect the texture and sweetness. Consider replacing some of the sugar with a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup.

Can I make this cake vegan?

Substitute the eggs with a flaxseed or chia seed “egg” alternative, and use plant-based yogurt and oil.

How can I make the lemon flavor stronger?

You can add extra lemon zest to the batter or drizzle a lemon glaze over the cooled cake for a boost of citrusy flavor.

Super Easy DIY Air Fryer Pop Tarts https://manthatlooksgood.com/diy-air-fryer-pop-tarts/ https://manthatlooksgood.com/diy-air-fryer-pop-tarts/#comments Wed, 02 Apr 2025 19:42:10 +0000 https://manthatlooksgood.com/?p=950 DIY Air Fryer Pop Tarts have always been one of Reese’s favorite go-to snacks, but I’m always trying to look for healthier snacks that are not processed and loaded with sugar. With their extensive range of flavors, they are such a tempting and quick breakfast or afternoon snack.

However, as someone who loves to cook, I’m always aware of the ingredients I’m putting into everything I make and therefore what I’m putting into Reese’s body. Sometimes I’m just not happy with what I see on ingredient lists anymore, so I try and find easy alternative ways to make them myself!

DIY Air Fryer Pop Tarts

Pop-Tarts have been around since 1964 and are a kitchen staple in many households. They’re so easy to pop in the toaster or microwave to warm up. I’m always interested to see what new limited-edition flavors come out, and I love some of the seasonal options in the range.

My recipe today takes only 30 minutes to make. With very few ingredients, they are a quick and easy breakfast to make for the whole family. Kids will love them, and they won’t even notice the difference between your creation and the store-bought ones.

DIY Air Fryer Pop Tarts

They are really fun to make with kids, and they’ll love helping out and getting involved before eating their creations. They will particularly enjoy decorating them, and you can switch out the sprinkles for anything you’d like to finish them off with. Let your kids get creative and add their personal touch to their breakfast!

If you’re like me and always in a rush before school or work, you don’t want breakfasts taking too long. So I’ve saved time on this recipe by using a pre-made pie crust. This means less time cooking, and more time eating! I chose to use strawberries in this recipe to get in some fresh fruit but If you aren’t a fan of strawberries, raspberries or blueberries are other good choices.

I made this recipe in my air fryer so I didn’t have to pull out my deep fryer. I love my air fryer, it’s one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I’ve had mine for a couple of years now, and I couldn’t imagine my kitchen without it.

Air Fryer Pop Tarts

I always find the food I make in the air fryer tastes healthier and fresher than deep-fried foods. It means your cooking is lower in fat and calories and you don’t have to use too much oil. Some of my other favorite dishes to make in the air fryer are fries and donuts. I’ve even tried making chocolate chip cookies in it recently, and they were delicious!

I’m planning to make these Super Easy DIY Air Fryer Pop-Tarts as a treat over the holidays. I think they would be a fun addition to your Halloween dessert buffet if you swap the sprinkles for orange and black ones. Your kids will be thrilled to see a familiar snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/8 cup white sugar
  • I package rolled unbaked pie crust 2 in the package
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Sprinkles

How to Make Super Easy DIY Air Fryer Pop Tarts

Step 1:

In a microwavable bowl, mix the strawberries and sugar and place in the microwave for 5 minutes. Stir. Put back in for another 2 minutes. The filling should now look like a jelly (a runny one). Let it cool for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2:

Roll out dough sheets and cut each one into a large square. From there, create 4 equal squares per sheet.

Step 3:

Add about a tablespoon of filling to the top of 4 of the pastry sheets.

Step 4:

Place the tops on each of the 4 bottoms with filling and take a fork to press in around the edges.

Step 5:

Spray each pop tart front and one back with a nonstick spray and cook in the air fryer for 7-10 minutes. Check them for browning, you do not want to burn them, but you do want them a golden color.

Step 6:

When done, place on a cooling rack for 30-45 minutes. Enjoy.

Some Tips

  • Save time by using store-bought rolled unbaked pie crust.
  • Make sure the strawberry filling is completely cooled before assembling the Pop-Tarts
  • Be careful not to overfill the Pop-Tarts with the strawberry mixture. Too much filling can cause them to burst open during cooking.
  • Press the edges of the Pop-Tarts firmly with a fork to seal them shut.
  • Keep an eye on the Pop-Tarts while they’re in the air fryer to prevent burning.

Quick and Simple Honey Cinnamon Roll Recipe https://manthatlooksgood.com/honey-cinnamon-roll-recipe/ https://manthatlooksgood.com/honey-cinnamon-roll-recipe/#comments Wed, 02 Apr 2025 14:42:20 +0000 https://manthatlooksgood.com/?p=917 Is there anything better than a delicious honey cinnamon roll in the morning—or afternoon—or, well, any time of day or night? If you are a lover of cinnamon rolls like I am, you will fall in love with this Quick and Simple Honey Cinnamon Roll Recipe.

Honey Cinnamon Roll

I can think of few foods more comforting and nostalgic than a good cinnamon roll. Cinnamon rolls bring to mind heading to the mall as a teenager, the scent of Cinnabun wafting through the air; it also brings to mind a lazy Saturday morning, when I sometimes like to bake cinnamon rolls to pair with coffee or, for the kids, fresh orange juice.

A regular cinnamon roll recipe is delicious enough, but I’ve never been one to settle for “delicious enough”—especially when it comes to sugary sweet rolls that are designed to be indulgent, amazing, and sure to end up on anyone’s “most requested baked good” list.

But how to make cinnamon rolls more exciting than they already are? One word: honey. Yes, honey. Honey is decadent without being overbearing or cloying. It also adds a unique type of sweetness that contrasts nicely with the traditional icing in a cinnamon roll.

You can use any honey for this honey cinnamon roll recipe, too, which means you can experiment with different brands and batches. When I’ve made this with floral honey, it has a unique twist that gives it an even more special “oomph” than using regular store-brand honey.

Of course, even store-brand honey is going to turn this delicious treat into something special, so don’t feel that you have to splurge on something from a farmer’s market.

Of course, you might be wondering: how long is it going to take me to bake these? As a busy person myself, who often juggles work and home and everything in between, I know that time is precious.

And sometimes you just don’t have the time, energy, or ability to spend a lot of time baking in the kitchen. Mixing, measuring, pouring, and wiping down the inevitable dough spills before someone else heads into the kitchen and sees the mess you’ve made… can be a lot sometimes.

This is why I think that this recipe is going to surprise you: it’s incredibly quick, easy, and perfect for beginner bakers who are a bit nervous about getting their feet wet.

Ingredients

Roll Rough

  • 1 cup milk at room temperature

How To Make Honey Cinnamon Roll

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2:

Melt the butter. Combine in a medium bowl with room-temperature milk, sugar, and salt. The mixture should be warm but not hot (between 105-110 F if using a thermometer) In a large bowl, combine the yeast with 2 cups of flour and yeast until well mixed.

Step 3:

Stir the butter mixture into the flour and yeast mixture. Add in the egg and mix until well combined.

Step 4:

Slowly add in the remaining 2 cups of flour about ½ cup at a time. You may not need to use all of the flour, the dough needs to pull away from the bowl easily. If the dough is too sticky, continue to add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time until the right consistency.

Step 5:

Rest dough for 10 minutes.

Step 6:

Meanwhile, line a baking dish with parchment paper or grease well.

Step 7:

Sprinkle a cutting board or counter with flour and roll out the dough until about 12×16 inches. Spread softened butter over the dough, being sure to go right to the edges leaving a 1-inch strip without butter on the outer edges.

Step 8:

Next, spread the honey sugar filling across the buttered dough, leaving the 1-inch strip. Roll the dough into a tight, even log and seal the seam by pinching it together.

Step 9:

Slice the rolls into 1 ½ inch rounds and place into the baking dish. Cover the pan with a damp towel and set it in a warm spot for 25 minutes until puffy (may need longer to rise depending on your yeast).

Step 10:

Place into oven and bake for 20-22 minutes until the tops are a light golden brown.

Step 11:

While the rolls are baking, mix the cream cheese and butter. Add in the vanilla and sugar (about ½ cup at a time) until well blended and smooth.

Step 12:

Once rolls are finished let cool slightly, and then frost well.

Some Tips

  • Pay attention to the temperature of the milk mixture when combining it with the yeast. It should be warm but not hot (around 105-110°F) to activate the yeast properly.
  • As you add flour to the dough, aim for a consistency where the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl easily.
  • When rolling out the dough, leave a small border around the edges without filling to prevent it from oozing out. This ensures clean, well-defined rolls after baking.

Why Honey Matters: Composition and Health Benefits

Honey is more than just a natural sweetener—it’s packed with nutrients and beneficial properties that enhance both the taste and texture of baked goods. The honey composition, primarily made up of fructose and glucose, allows it to retain moisture exceptionally well, keeping cakes soft and preventing them from drying out too quickly. This makes honey a key ingredient in baked goods, ensuring a rich and moist texture, especially in traditional honey cakes.

Beyond baking, honey offers antioxidant and antibacterial properties, supports digestion, and provides a natural energy boost. Unlike refined sugar, honey contains trace amounts of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, calcium, and iron, which are among the essential honey ingredients that contribute to both health benefits and flavor. When used in baking, honey enhances the overall depth of taste, adding a slightly caramelized richness that makes honey cakes truly special.

What is Honey Cake?

Honey cake, also known as medovik in Eastern European cuisine, is a traditional layered cake where honey is the key ingredient. Each layer is baked separately, often using a honey-infused dough that is then stacked with a creamy filling.

This cake is popular in Latvian cuisines, where it is left to rest overnight to allow the flavors to blend. Some variations include condensed milk-based cream, while others feature sour cream for a lighter, tangy contrast to the rich honey sweetness.

Honey cakes have been enjoyed for centuries, with historical records tracing their origins back to ancient times when honey was one of the few natural sweeteners available.

How to Make Honey Cake?

This easy honey cake recipe follows a classic method of gently heating the honey mixture, incorporating eggs and flour, and layering it with a creamy filling.

Step 1:

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, honey, and sugar, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Step 2:

Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl, then slowly add them to the honey mixture, stirring continuously. Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Step 3:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Divide the dough into 5-6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle and bake on parchment-lined baking sheets for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 4:

In a bowl, mix sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 5:

Layer the baked cake rounds with a generous spread of cream filling. Repeat until all layers are stacked. Cover the cake with additional cream and let it set in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.

  • Refrigerator: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Freezer: Wrap slices individually and freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Serving Tip: Allow refrigerated cake to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating.

Once everyone’s had their fill, I like to wrap any leftovers in plastic wrap or store them in an airtight container. Hwachae Recipe (Korean Fruit Bowl) https://manthatlooksgood.com/hwachae-recipe-korean-fruit-bowl/ https://manthatlooksgood.com/hwachae-recipe-korean-fruit-bowl/#respond Tue, 01 Apr 2025 14:43:43 +0000 https://manthatlooksgood.com/?p=6305 Discover the refreshing world of Korean desserts with this authentic hwachae recipe. A vibrant fruit bowl drink that perfectly balances sweetness, freshness, and a touch of tradition, hwachae is the ideal treat for any occasion, especially during warmer months. Let’s dive into how you can create this colorful and delicious dessert at home.

hwachae korean recipe

What Is Hwachae?

The term “hwachae” (pronounced “hwa-che”) refers to a traditional Korean fruit punch made by mixing fresh fruits with sweetened water, soda, or milk. Originating from Korean cuisine, hwachae is not just a dessert; it’s a staple at celebrations and festivals. The name translates to “flower punch,” and while it historically included edible flowers, modern recipes often focus on fruits. Whether served as a drink or a dessert, this colorful creation is as versatile as it is delicious.

Hwachae Recipe Ingredients

To make the perfect hwachae, you’ll need:

  • Fruits: Watermelon, Korean pear, strawberries, kiwi, or any seasonal fruits of your choice.
  • Sweetened base: Soda (like Sprite), milk, or sugar water.
  • Optional: Edible flowers for garnish, mint leaves, or crushed ice for extra refreshment.

Tips:

  • Opt for fruits that are ripe and juicy for the best flavor.
  • Use colorful fruits to create a visually appealing hwachae bowl.

How to Make Hwachae?

hwachae-korean-recipe

Here’s a step-by-step guide to making your own hwachae:

Step 1:

Rinse all fruits thoroughly under cold water. Peel and slice fruits like pears, kiwis, and mangoes into bite-sized pieces. Use a melon baller to scoop watermelon into small, attractive balls for added texture and visual appeal.

Step 2:

In a large mixing bowl, combine your chosen base—soda, milk, or sugar water. For a soda base, use about 3-4 cups of Sprite or similar lemon-lime soda. For sugar water, dissolve 1/4 cup sugar in 3 cups of water until fully mixed. Adjust sweetness to your preference.

Step 3:

Gently place the prepared fruits into the bowl with the sweetened base. Stir lightly to distribute the fruits evenly without damaging their shapes. Add edible flowers or mint leaves for garnish if desired.

Step 4:

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Chilling enhances the refreshing taste of the hwachae.

Step 5:

Serve the hwachae in individual bowls or glasses, ensuring each portion has a mix of fruits and liquid. Add ice cubes for extra cooling, and enjoy your vibrant Korean fruit bowl.

Pro Tip: For an adult twist, add a splash of soju or white wine to the sweetened base before mixing in the fruits.

Popular Hwachae Variations

While the classic hwachae recipe is delightful on its own, here are some popular variations:

  • Watermelon Hwachae: Focus on watermelon as the main ingredient and pair it with milk for a creamy base.
  • Omija Hwachae: Made with omija (magnolia berry), this variation has a tart and herbal flavor.
  • Chrysanthemum Hwachae: Features chrysanthemum petals for a floral and aromatic twist.

Each variation brings a unique flavor, making hwachae adaptable to personal preferences.

What to Eat With Hwachae?

Hwachae pairs wonderfully with other Korean delicacies. Here are a few recommendations:

  • Tteok (Rice Cakes): The chewy texture of tteok complements the refreshing qualities of hwachae.
  • Korean Barbecue: Serve as a dessert after a rich and savory BBQ meal.
  • Bingsu: If you’re looking for an indulgent experience, enjoy hwachae alongside Korean shaved ice.
  • Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake: Serve as drink with raspberry cake

How to Store Hwachae Leftovers?

If you have leftovers, here’s how to store them:

  • Refrigerate: Place the hwachae in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. It’s best consumed within 1-2 days.
  • Refresh Before Serving: Add fresh soda or sweetened water to restore its flavor and fizziness if stored.

Avoid leaving Korean fruit bowl drink at room temperature for too long, as the fruits can lose their texture and freshness.

What Makes Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Special?

The Jacques Torres chocolate chip cookies recipe is no ordinary cookie recipe. Here’s what makes these cookies stand out:

  1. Premium Chocolate: Torres uses chocolate discs instead of chips, ensuring a rich, gooey texture. The chocolate melts into luscious pools throughout the cookie.
  2. Chilling the Dough: Chilling the dough for 24-72 hours enhances the flavor and improves the texture.
  3. Perfect Texture: These cookies have crisp edges and soft, gooey centers, achieving a perfect balance.
  4. Combination of Flours: The recipe uses both bread flour and cake flour to create a unique texture that’s chewy and tender.

These techniques elevate the cookies from good to extraordinary, making them the go-to choice for cookie lovers everywhere.

Ingredients for Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies

To make these iconic cookies, you’ll need:

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 ⅔ cups bread flour
  • 1 ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp coarse salt
  • 1 ¼ cups unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ lbs bittersweet chocolate discs
  • Optional: Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Why Use Two Types of Flour?

One of the standout features of the Jacques Torres chocolate chip cookie recipe is the use of two types of flour: cake flour and bread flour. While most cookie recipes rely on all-purpose flour, Jacques Torres’s recipe takes a unique approach to achieve the ideal cookie texture.

  1. Cake Flour: Known for its fine texture and low protein content, cake flour creates a tender, soft crumb. This ensures that the cookies maintain a delicate, almost melt-in-your-mouth quality.
  2. Bread Flour: On the other hand, bread flour has a higher protein content, contributing to the chewy, slightly dense structure that makes these cookies so satisfying.

By combining the two, you get the best of both worlds—soft, tender interiors with just the right amount of chewiness.

Extra Info About Ingredients

Each ingredient in the Jacques Torres cookie recipe plays a crucial role in creating these iconic cookies. Let’s break it down:

  • Cake Flour and Bread Flour: As mentioned, these flours work together to create the perfect texture.
  • Baking Soda and Baking Powder: These leavening agents help the cookies rise and spread evenly during baking. The combination ensures a balanced, fluffy texture.
  • Coarse Salt: Using coarse salt adds bursts of flavor that enhance the sweetness of the cookies and bring out the chocolate’s richness.
  • Butter: Unsalted butter provides the cookies with their rich, buttery flavor. Room temperature butter is key for proper creaming with the sugars.
  • Brown Sugar and White Sugar: The blend of sugars adds both sweetness and moisture, with brown sugar contributing to chewiness and white sugar giving crisp edges.
  • Eggs: Eggs act as a binder, helping the dough come together and adding richness.
  • Vanilla Extract: Vanilla enhances the overall flavor profile, adding warmth and depth.
  • Chocolate Discs: Unlike traditional chocolate chips, discs melt into luscious pools, creating a more luxurious texture and flavor.
  • Flaky Sea Salt (optional): A sprinkle of sea salt adds a delightful contrast to the sweetness and elevates the flavor of the cookies.

Step-by-Step Recipe for Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies

jacques torres chocolate chip cookie recipe

Step 1:

In a medium bowl, sift together the cake flour, bread flour, baking soda, baking powder, and coarse salt. Whisk to ensure everything is evenly combined.

Step 2:

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together using a stand mixer or hand mixer. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 3:

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 4:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can lead to tougher cookies.

Step 5:

Using a spatula, gently fold in the chocolate discs, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 6:

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 24 hours (and up to 72 hours). Chilling the dough allows the flavors to develop and creates a firmer texture for easier scooping.

Step 7:

When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

Step 8:

Scoop the chilled dough into golf ball-sized portions (about 3 tablespoons each). Place them on the baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

Step 9:

Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers still look slightly underbaked. The cookies will continue to set as they cool.

Step 10:

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Enjoy warm or store for later!

Some Tips!

  1. Use High-Quality Chocolate: Opt for bittersweet chocolate discs for the best flavor and texture.
  2. Chill the Dough: Don’t skip this step! It’s key to achieving the signature texture of Jacques Torres cookies.
  3. Sprinkle with Sea Salt: A light sprinkle of flaky sea salt adds a delightful contrast to the sweetness.

What to Pair with Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies?

These cookies are indulgent on their own, but pairing them with a complementary dessert takes them to the next level:

  • Chick-fil-A Ice Cream: Creamy, smooth, and simple, this ice cream balances the richness of the cookies.
  • Piñon Ice Cream: With its nutty, earthy flavor, piñon ice cream is an unexpected but delightful pairing.

  • Start by Turning on the oven to 400°F (200°C) and put parchment paper on a baking tray.
  • In a pot, mix water, butter, and salt. Heat it on the stove and stir until the butter melts.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the flour when it starts bubbling. Keep mixing until it looks like a big dough ball.
  • Take the pot off the stove and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Now, Add one egg at a time, stirring well each time, until the dough turns so smooth.
  • Make small dough circles on the tray, you can use a spoon like I did.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until they are golden and puffy. Let them cool down before filling.
  • Cut a small hole in the side or cut them in half (It's up to you).
  • Fill each puff with the peanut butter whipped cream using your spoon or a bag. Enjoy.

Notes

  • You can make the puffs smaller or bigger (Depending on your needs), just remember to adjust the baking time a little.
  • Of course, If you want different flavors, try using chocolate or vanilla whipped cream instead of peanut butter.
  • If you don’t have a piping bag, You can use a plastic sandwich bag with a small hole cut in the corner.
